About SDSDC

1. What is SDSDC?
Dr. Charles C. Shockley founded the San Diego Supplier Development Council (SDSDC), formerly the San Diego Minority Supplier Development Council, in 1974. The Council is comprised of small business advocates and purchasing professionals who represent local private industry and government agencies. The Council holds luncheon meetings where Council members and small businesses meet to promote contracting performance by creating opportunities.

2. Who can become an SDSDC member?
Any large business Corporations, Government and Non-Government agencies, City and County Offices, and Commercial enterprises of San Diego area are qualified for membership. Small businesses are welcome to attend SDSDC Monthly Luncheon Meetings.

3. What are normally scheduled activities of SDSDC?
Monthly meetings and small business presentations (2nd Tuesday of every month), Operation Opportunity (May/June), and Executive Awareness (October/November). Schedule of Upcoming Events

5. What do I have to do to attend SDSDC Operation Opportunity

6. What are costs and benefits for attending Operation Opportunity?
Benefits include but are not limited to: a chance to meet other businesses, vendors and contractors, Continental Breakfast, Trade Fair/Marketplace, Workshops, Luncheon, Networking, and Free Parking.

7. What needs to be done to make a small business presentation:

9. What are costs and benefits for attending monthly luncheon meetings?
Your time (from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm) and $25 for buffet lunch is your investment. Benefits include but are not limited to getting a mini roster of large business council members served as your business contacts, face-to-face meeting with purchasing personnel of large businesses, networking with other small businesses, and a chance to create business opportunities.
